CWU reaffirm opposition to second referendum
The electorate where quite clearly informed that in was in and out was out..No ifs no buts ! After a referendum leave won by 52% to 48% .. At the last election 85% of MPS agreed to honour the result from them consenting to giving us a referendum. ( the other 15% was not elected till the last election ) Now it is quite clear that if we are in a customs union we are still tied and subject to EU regulations. If democracy is to be upheld then IMHO a clean break is needed. So to all MPS give us what you promised to do ! Honour the referendum result ! We did NOT have a referendum on a deal or no deal.. it was Remain or LEAVE...Simples !

Sorry but did not see the disclaimer at the bottom of the £350 million a week for the NHS on all the buses that that clown Boris and Nigel were cavorting around on nor did they use your diplomatic language in their TV interviews at the time so lies were told by the propagandists of leaving the EU.Tman wrote:The £350 million a week for the NHS was a rhetorical and hypothetical example of a better use of the money, not a pledge.
But why is it be a lie? We haven't left yet and are still contributing, so any future projections are just that.

No you cannot make an informed choice on lies if someone sold you a car with the words easy to maintain runs like a dream and will cost you £35 a week less than your old car but it is a lemon and the bitter taste has left it's mark on the faces of the Tory party this week.meako wrote:The electorate where quite clearly informed that in was in and out was out..No ifs no buts ! The referendum was NOT about being sold a or compared to buying car or whatever ! .. People where given a clear choice.. IN OR OUT ! So there was NO LIES from the remain side ? Project fear ! unemployment will rocket.. house prices will crash..medicinal shortages ! blah blah blah.. total tiddy ollocks ! DEMOCRACY is about what the majority voted for.. Always has been and always will be !No you cannot make an informed choice on lies if someone sold you a car with the words easy to maintain runs like a dream and will cost you £35 a week less than your old car but it is a lemon and the bitter taste has left it's mark on the faces of the Tory party this week.

Democracy only works if the truth is told not a pack of lies to deceive those who cannot think through the consequences of their actions!

The problem you have is that with a slender majority of 52% and inside that majority a mixture of different ambitions for a future relationship with Europe your opinion must by pure mathematics be in the minority overall so if you want to "uphold democracy" you have to bow to the majority who don't want a "clean break" or no deal Brexit..If democracy is to be upheld then IMHO a clean break is needed
You can't use a democratic mandate to force through the wishes of a minority and then bleat on about democracy. There's a name for that, it's called hypocrisy.

As an aside/bit of light relief....did you all notice the story of the Boris Johnson tweet regarding how he voted in his local elections? I'm sure there is a logical explanantion of how he voted tory in an election that did n't take place in his constituency.....
I prefer not to know how people voted in the referendum now as I find myself judging them, I can't reconcile how people continue to side with the leading characters on the Leave side: Farage, Robinson, IDS, Rees-Mogg, Mark 'f***ing' Francois, Davies, Bullshit Boris, UKIP. And that is not a judgement on the merits of leaving the EU or not, just the dross that are leading the argument for it.

Just proves then that democracy is an outdated system because most politicians on all sides of the political fence wouldnt know the truth if it smacked them in the head. So that means everyone is being deceived all of the time. Totalitarianism anybody. Or maybe that is the EUs final destination who knows. All I know is that political beliefs and ideas are now so many and diverse that a clear majority on any subject is virtually impossible. So what is the solution. Lie's were told all we need is the truth and another vote the truth is outed and the fact's are now clear for all to see so let's have a vote on fact's not fiction or lie's. The very people whom claim democracy will be destroyed are those who seek power over the working man/woman for their own needs and will in turn lead in into a trade war and a war we cannot possibly win and ultimately will humiliate our nation for generations to come!Tman wrote:A simple slogan needs a disclaimer now?k979aaa wrote: Sorry but did not see the disclaimer at the bottom of the £350 million a week for the NHS on all the buses that that clown Boris and Nigel were cavorting around on

You are right but lies were told but by both sides. "EU army is a dangerous fantasy" Nick Clegg. Mmmmmm is it really.k979aaa wrote:Lie's were told all we need is the truth and another vote the truth is outed and the fact's are now clear for all to see so let's have a vote on fact's not fiction or lie's. Because the UK had a veto over the "EU Army", its actually more likely in my opinion that Brexit has increased the chances of it happening.

The issue is not that it might/will happen, but that the UK forces would be a major part of it, leading to some bureaucrat in the EU potentially having control of whether British citizens live or die in any future campaign.

UK Army/RAF/Royal Navy All swear allegiance to the Queen/King as do the the Priminister even the leader of the opposition does as they enter the privy council which is an organisation of the UK state which has been in power since 1707! We could all spout bull about the state of our nation and the EU but the fact is Margret Thatcher agreed the Schengen agreement with the EU and we have control of our boarders and armed forces and anyone who says different is fanning the flames of nationalism and racism for their own ends!
