Clash she received plenty of comments around Pensions and the Pipeline but from Royal Mail's view their pensions proposals are the biggest savings this company has saved for decades and De risk pensions from the company and of course their pipeline plans which allow them a bigger processing window which will reduce Mail Centre further , RDCs and enable Royal Mail to sell off more Delivery offices are critical to them and that is why we are heading into a dispute.
Again don't know where you get your information from but there were on the 26th draft when talks broke down a couple of weeks ago and we remained some distance away from any acceptable deal there had been some progress on the SWW.
So just to remember the 4 Pillars are Pay ,pensions , extension of legal guarantees and an acceptable pipeline. The SWW , along with Part timers holiday pay , forcing the company to increase the contracts of part timers who are Week in week out working above their contracted hours. Additionally the resourcing problems need to be resolved where walks regularly don't go out due to the obsession with budget.
ANNOUNCEMENT : ALL OF ROYAL MAIL'S EMPLOYMENT POLICIES (AGREEMENTS) AT A GLANCE (Updated 2021)... HERE

If you chose a lazy person to do a difficult job, they will always find an easy way to do it - like being lazy!!
Get the propaganda team to keep sending out the soundbites, get the guys on RMTV to spell it out how bad a strike will be, get the chief negotiators to negotiate the terms because they are 'best qualified' to do it. I mean what does a CEO do these days apart from sitting in the office watching the shares nose-dive??

On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Anything short of a 3% pay rise is actually a cut in the standard of living.
1 hour off my working week is a further 2.5% pay rise.
Are you saying there was some progress towards a 5.5% pay rise from the £375 currently on the table?
And 1 hour off my working week is just 12 minutes off my working day.
If that is the difference between a 5 hour delivery span and a 4 hour 48 delivery span I think I would rather have the money tyvm.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
