polling cards

Just cull the packets and anything else for a bloody poll card that will not be used for a month and even then postal voting is the new thing so 2nd class post at the expense of first class packets which we make the most money on! Our competitors are pissing themselves laughing at our piss poor service yet the dom's are happy as this pilfering of the staffs pockets all goes to their bonus which is pensionable!

We were told by management we have 3 days to deliver Polling cards, we get paid 4.2p for each card,
We had to count each one and sign a sheet with the amount we've done, pay no etc...
We've now heard (hopefully just a rumour) that we'll not be being paid for it!!
it took effing ages to count them and sort & they weren't even sequenced!
whats the score?

If some DO Managers are allowing 3 days to deliver polling cards, surely that should be the same in every office. I am not getting paid for delivery because not delivered all in one day, plus told that it would be classed as a failure.

if its dsa we have been told 1 day
but if we come in 1/2 hour early and work for free it shows were are trying and can take them over 2 days
couldnt make it up ffs

we were told throw the lot off and take where your going but no longer than 3 days at 4p per item

We had 4.25p over two days but most done theirs in one day.

Why are the management bastards?
The agreement says the poll cards have to be delivered to spec. So if they have to be delivered in 1 day, they have to be delivered in 1 day.
The agreement also states there needs to be a sensible and practical approach.
What they are saying is if you show a little bit of flexibility, they are willing to show a little bit of common sense.

The more crap I read on these pages, the more I like the idea of moving the lot into workload.
We all want to be paid the same. So we'd all get paid nothing.
People don't want to incur any overtime - extra resources would need to be brought in and the overrunning delivery procedure would apply.
Win-win.

My postie says because of this he doesn't get paid for them.

well i asked how much time we got for boxing them into the frame, to which I was told..''we don't get any time''...the time is incorporated in with the payment we get''... but some of us aren't getting paid for them cos we are leaving some in I said!!....to which he just shook his shoulders. (one of the reasons we walked out). This whole f***ing saga has been a joke from start to finish. f**k the poll cards.

my mate has asked me to ask on here if there are other posties on here who are NOT getting paid even though they've done them. i.e. you left a loop in or refused to go over your time?
