It depends on your age, at 59 you need 19 years service.
At 57/58 you need 20 years.
At 55/56 you need 21 years.
At 53/54 it's 22 years.
At 51/52 it's 23 years.
At 49/50 it's 24 years.
At 47/48 it's 25 years.
At 46 it's 27 years.
But remember if you are 55 or over and still paying into an RM pension you will only get 26 weeks plus immediate payment of accrued pension, slightly enhanced.

RM isn't offering funny money though, just MTSF2 terms plus 13 weeks Pay in Lieu of Notice, if certain conditions are met. They used to give PILON with VR/EVR a few years back for uniformed grades, but then stopped it except for managers who still get it.

Edit: I remember, it must be at least 25 years ago, when VR/EVR was offered in my mc and people who had expressed an interest were just called off the floor, told their VR figures, and asked if they wanted to accept and if they did they could sign and leave immediately with PILON if they wanted to. Which many did.
I can't remember when they stopped PILON for uniformed grades but I think it was relatively recently, in the last few years.
