The new proposed deal is this: i know this because i asked RM operations exactly what was being tabled:

5.4% on basic pay from October 2007 taking full time national basic pay from £324.92 per week to £342.46.
1.5% on basic pay in April 2008 (on condition agreement on pension reform, change and flexibility is reached)
Which means 347.60 basic

So 6,9% over two years.

If all agreed, a lump sum of £175 in October sometime. Plus the usual productivity scheme, Colleague shares etc. - which amount to pennies on the grand scale of things.
Well i hope the union don't come back to us with this. It is crap. And don't forget colleague shares and bonuses are valueless.
Targets will be unachievable.

So we still loose D2D and deliver twice as much...election material payments to go as well?

This offer is total arse...if the union come back with this then theres no point in there being a union.

So what is the offer on the table?
The money
A two year pay offer:
• 5.4% on basic pay and weekday overtime from October 2007
• 1.5% on basic pay and weekday overtime from April 2008 in return for pension reform, change and
flexibility
• That's 6.9% over two years with the next pay review date in April 2009
• Plus £175 lump sum, the 50:50 productivity scheme and ColleageShare dividends
What we need in return
The things we need you to do in return for the increases in pay:
• Introduce the operational changes eg later starts and removal of night shifts
• Adopt more flexible ways of working
• Help us modernise by using new delivery kit and machines
• Help protect existing employees pensions by supporting pension reform
Flexibility
Flexibility is about managers, postmen and women and reps working together sensibly to make sure the
work gets done in the best and most efficient way - with a bit of give and take on all sides.
Flexibility means:
• People work all the hours they are paid.
• Scheduled hours may be different on different days of the week (longs and shorts).
• Scheduled hours may vary at different times of the year eg to reflect lighter workload in the
summer (summer staffing).
• People may be asked to vary their times by up to 30 minutes - go early one day and make up the
time later in the week (swings and roundabouts).
• People carry out all the tasks that need to get done - as long as it's safe, legal and they've had any
necessary training.
• Occasionally people may be asked to work in another nearby location - using a locally agreed
process.
• People use new machines, technology and equipment and adopt new ways of working - once
they've had any necessary training.
• People cover each other's leave and absence, where they can, within their scheduled hours.
• People are treated fairly and with respect.
Flexibility does not mean:
• Getting postmen and women to work more hours than they're paid for.
• Changing what people do or the hours they work without notice and from one day to the next.
• Getting people to do things that they're not trained to do or that aren't safe to do.
• People not knowing what they are going to earn from one week to the next
• People not knowing where they are going to work from one day to the next
Why this is a good deal - and one that we think the union should accept and recommend to its
members
• This is the best we can afford given the challenges facing the business.
• Unite CMA has agreed a similar deal on pay and pensions for managers.
• Parcelforce Worldwide, and the national network of subpostmasters have both agreed similar deals
without recourse to industrial action.
Ask the CWUrep what they think would secure a deal and end this dispute

:Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause It's not to much to ask for is it? When i deliver to local bussiness and they say why you on strike again. I say "Well when you get your payrise do you get 22 strings attached to it? " Soon shuts them up :nana
