So what you are saying is RM want a return to the old days, where with job and finish, you could bugger off home two hours early during the summer, as long as you stayed and helped out during the busier periods? What happens in the real world, is during those quieter summer months, we all lapse rounds to fill our time (which is perfectly fine) yet when the busy times roll around, when you turn around and tell your manager 'hey boss, I just want to work my hours, like I have all year round' you get bullied or labelled as a trouble maker.dingo wrote:

So Royal Mail would like people to work more hours in the busier period and less in the lower traffic periods. They want more flexibility .
If lapsing is to be a continual part of the new agreement, you can't have annualised hours anyway. It's either one or the other.
