Christmas Bonus

Hey all, was just wanting to clarify Royal Mails policy on Christmas Bonus. Am I right in thinking if any absences occur during December you are not entitled to the bonus?

Are u sure we got a letter last year saying we would get 100 quid every year as part of the colleague shares every december for 10 years????

We are getting £100 xmas bonus and £100 from the colleague shares.
Asfor losing part of your bonus thats bull s**t,I was off sick for the last 2 weeks before xmas last year and lost nothing,Or was i just lucky?

You only lose part of the bonus if you are getting less than full pay.
That's the easy way to think about it.

Sick pay at pension rate is paid to those who have exhausted both sick pay:full rate and sick pay:half rate if they have made the required pension contributions.

Cheers fishtank. I know managers in my office last year were telling people that any time off sick meant reduced or no Xmas bonus. Just getting the issue clear if it crops up again.
