If we have more or less resolved the pay,protection and pension issues that really only leaves the delivery issues and nationally the members have not been kept in the loop as to exactly what the union is fighting for in deliveries.dingo wrote:If members in your office or others now don't support the strike then clearly they were not aware of what the union is fighting for.
As Clash has pointed out many members are already dealing with resourcing to demand,all year round lapsing and majority part-time offices so unless the union comes up with a way to guarantee that these offices will be revisited and any non compliant workplan removed then I think you can forget support for a strike to protect the status quo in a minority of areas that have refused to modernise.
The difference in what constitutes a "fair day's work" from area to area has become more pronounced since 2010 and that was supposed to be an agreement that standardised working practices across the entire business.
The warnings were there,you can't just leave half the country to go to hell in a handcart and then expect them to come riding over the hill the minute HQ whistles.
