Attendance procedure clarification

Don't know how long this absence will be due to the nature of it so what will be the outcome when I get back. If I'm still on my stage 1 will a stage 2 be given or if I'm off it will a stage 1 be given.

You should be clear now but as the first guy who replied said, if you go sick again before feb you'll trigger the stage 1 again.

How can the same absence trigger two reviews?
My position is that all absences up to the day of the meeting are included in the attendance discussion for that review.
As such if it triggers a stage it then becomes "spent" otherwise if you were off for more than 14 days you would still technically be in breach of the attendance procedure even after a 6 month stage and the whole thing would make no sense.

The way I read it and the way it has worked out for me is that if you get a stage 1 and clear it in 6 months then go sick again they can still use absences against you that was in the 12 month period. It's only a 6 month period once on a stage and once you clear it it's back to 12 months. I will spend most of my time just topping up my stage 1.

I'm still having a hard time understanding this new procedure myself.I was under the impression that after 6mths of being on a stage 1 that if you didn't go sick that you would be completely clear again,instead of the 12 mths it used to be.The people in my office are a little bit confused.om to say the least.

If I was off for 15 days in April I would have triggered a stage.
Six months later I would have cleared that stage but if that 15 day absence remains live i've still had 15 days off in the last 12 months so technically I would be constantly triggering a stage for the next 6 months with the same absence.
That can't be right so the absence(s) that triggered the stage have to be considered "spent".
It's the only way it would work.
