RM seeks injunction against postal workers delivery boycott

A couple of things ... what is the legal basis upon which RM is seeking an injunction and what likelihood do they of success?

Secondly, if members initiate a boycott I presume it will quickly escalate, managers (and/or strike breakers) could process some of the work at the mail centre and this % would then be mixed in with batches or walks (together with RM mails) but once it would then hit the MPU or DO as mixed trays, would MPU staff then not handle the trays and DO staff simple prep the non-DSA ... which ever way it's going to be messy and as soon as an OPG is suspended for failing to process DSA that would be it.

And why would they be driven into the arms of rivals who are also being boycotted?

The main concern is that the mail will be lost to online billing.

Secondly, the company has confirmed in writing an offer for a 3 year Pay Deal linked to previously rejected pension proposals and other associated conditions over the future. The company has insisted this is a closed offer for 7 days which means we cannot divulge any more detail at this stage. NOW YOU TALKING RM.

We have just voted in the consultative ballot for an UNLINKED deal. Yet they offer a linked deal with the pension changes(which the union have, quite rightly, and I assume with the support of basically all posties, rejected outright), with yet even more strings attached.

It would appear that maybe RM are willing to talk now, but still haven't mastered the art of LISTENING.

Unfortunately, I, and many other posties, don't respond well to that.

Do you think I do either I would say they (MOYA and her merry men) have got the timing more right than our union has the longer it take's will be worse for us all.

I thought a few years ago the CWU asked these companies to join there union ?
