Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

When we are freezing our balls off, you won't be able to go on holiday. (small matter of xmas pressure)
How are you planning on sending anyone on Royalmailchat a postcard? xx (It would get lost in a MC anyway)

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It's nice of him to defend his position, only a year in the job so hasn't lost what the rest of us have, not to mention abusive comments on his posts.Pat Ostman wrote:Don't let the door hit you on the way out.MartynAshbourne wrote:ok ... thanks to the cwu for my particular bonus and ever so sorry you other suckers aint getting any and goodnight x

Re: Thanks for the Bonus
Looks like a saddo manager on a wind up. Whats he so chuffed with £400 bonus for anyway, it'll only work out £300 after tax, not going to get much of a holiday in the sun for that are you. I've had £800 but I did'nt come bragging on here about it calling everyone losers. Absolute bullshit that your office is better after P & L, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Anyone who uses their real name to register on an internet forum is no doubt a few sarnies short of a picnic anyway
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Re: Thanks for the Bonus
true, but the 2010 agreement was, unfortunately, voted in.custard wrote:retaining a D2D payment would have dwarfed it
RM know from past experience that if they offer a lump sum to surrender a weekly payment, there are - sadly - some people who are just too dim and/or greedy to do the maths.
If someone offered me say £400 to give up an allowance worth £10/week, I'd tell 'em to poke it because £10/week would be worth around £3000 between now and when I retire. But some would say 'yeah, but it's £400!' like it was akin to a lottery win, and vote Yes. That's the kind of mentality that is commonplace, I'm sad to say

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
