Well done poozy....and donot worry about the "review"so far nobody i know has ever been given the heave ho once in the door.
i work in a small office in somerton and in my 4 years we have had alot of part timers and temps in the door,and nearly as many managers.without exception,every manager has attempted to screw over every new guy.which works for a few days until i (not the rep)get to hear about it and fill them in.thanks to knowledge gained on this site.
our manager/'s are so desperate to get our staff levels up that once given permission to have a new guy ,your like gold dust..they take the piss but they know if you leave they wont get a replacement for months if all.
so stick to your guns.only ever do overtime if YOU want to....
our newest temp part timer has just told me that the only day he gets off is a tuesday...so the rest of us can absorbe his round.
the rep assumed thats what he agreed to at interview but he showed me his contract .he applied for his job which stated a rolling day off.and contract says so.our manager blamed the phg who does the rota's ..now this week we have a new manager..AGAIN..so all back to square one.

Congratulations Poozy, bet your Manger thought, "Bugger who told him about that...?" Just be aware of what BF's said (about your day off) make sure you get a rolling day off and get your fair share of long weekends. A favourite in our office is trying to give all the PT lads/lasses every Bank Holiday off as their day off! These idiot Managers (?) will always try and take the piss...It's part of their training (?) I'm sure.
