I honestly don't think it would take long to track you down in Cambuslang.....
I've resisted reading the book because i am told that to really understand the complexities of humour and tragedy in the novel ...it should be read in it's original form....and my Spanish is purely holiday/conversational as el-cartero will testify...Hasta luego.

Who tells us the rules of striking? the bosses. I always thought to strike was to withdraw our labour? Could be wrong, so there what do you think? to take special unpaid leave because my UNION wont protect my right to withdraw my labour to support other workers could be just another tool? Still we all know how good representation with the CWU, MY UNION is dont we because they (HQ) are looking after our aspirations so well. Oh i loved the word quixotic so much i added it to my profile so many thanks for that.

Unless you're playing scrabble....
The sensible thing to do would be to go to work and then if your conscience is bothering you donate a days wages to some worthy champion of the oppressed masses like the IWW.

Spoken like a true "Trade Unionist" Brother! The IWW have been about for 106 years and although small are growing in the UK! The CWU has been here for a few decades and will last mabe five more years and will be forgotten in another five to be part of UNITE so please Brother be happy.

Government civil servants from the Public and Commercial Services Union - PCS are to join teachers, lecturers and students for the Tuesday 30th June strike over cuts to pensions, jobs, pay and tuition fees.


Most other UK Union members are also expected to support the strike action which will leave most of the UK public buildings and services closed for that day.

Dear Colleagues,

Strike Action June 30th - PCS, NUT, ATL and UCU

Branches will have seen press reports of impending strike action by NUT, PCS, ATL and UCU. This is due to take place on June 30th.

The results of the membership ballot for each Union is as follows:

PCS:
61.1% voted yes
83.6% voted for action short of a strike
32% turnout
One day national strike on June 30th
Followed by a month long overtime ban.

NUT:
92% yes 40% turnout

ATL
83% yes 35% turnout

UCU

77% of members who voted supported strike
action and more than 96% supported action short of a strike.

Branches are requested to make contact with their opposite numbers in these unions and lend support. Attached to this LTB is a copy of a letter sent to all four unions today.

CWU Regional Secretaries have been asked to make contact with their opposite numbers in these unions to provide any assistance that will be needed. It should be noted that Regional Secretaries were emailed the contacts of the four Unions yesterday, Wednesday 15th June.

Any enquiries on this LTB should be addressed to the General Secretary's office quoting the Reference GS 17.0
