i was off with a bad back for 5 1/2 months last year and in that time i was given a stage 3 interview (while syill holding a doctors note!) i returned to work on rehab in nov. i still havent had my st 3 warning and it is driving me insane. my manager says its being sorted etc , but all im thinking is do i have a job? is there a time limit for issuing stages ie it has been almost 4 months since i have been back and over 6 monthst since my first st 3 interview. i have a family etc and i dont want to lose my job but im not getting the feedback i want. some people are sayin "its ya first st 3 you will be ok " and some r sayin " there saking everyone on st 3 now " im shittin myselves here !! its like a form of torture. PLEASE EASE MY MIND AND KEEP ME SANE! :pray :pray

1st of all welcome.
The chances are a rep would be able to give you better advice,in the mean time i'll go on what happened to me.
If you've had a 3rd stage interview then the next step as what happened to me is,they should either sack you or let you know you haven't been sacked, mine took about 2-3 weeks after my interview, and it was a mare for me,so f**k knows what you're going through.

6 mths is taking the piss, these things have to be done in 'a reasonable time frame' and 6mths aint!!!!
Your rep should now throw it back at them for this reason, and you should then go back at least to a stage 2.
You need to see your rep and maybe your area rep asap!!!

As for what they're doing now if you read my last post above they do seem to be taking a bastard approach.
But i'm presuming they'll look at your whole record and so it depends on how bad that is,and how good your case was put to them.
You've been under the Doctor so hopefully that will stand you in good stead, but as you know it's so hard to judge what these guys are gonna do,from day to day, case to case.

But best of luck with it mate, hopefully the fact they've left it so long you'll be able to throw it back,s**t like what they've done wont look good in a tribunal, but hopefully it wont come to that.

Dinho1 , Mate there is a period of time which is REASONABLE and for RM to deal with it inside this very abuseable limit. For the facts ask your local/ Area Rep. Its just another form of Tourture mate, Hang in there but push Union to quash the Stgs if You were fast tracked thru the system like many have now!! There is a IR framework RM & CWU agree on!! Make sure your REP is up to speed with ALL the nooks n crannies of it as i hope RM have f****d up and you get rid of ALL your stages!! There is rules we all have to adher to but when RM abuse this just to sack Posties then as we all should,, STAND UP AND BE COUNTED!! Dont let em get you down fella, Cover your arse as much as poss,, IE. sick notes Photo copyed, In on time,Keep in contact with your place of work. Or when on a long period off sick Like OURSELVES RM can Doo ya for desertion of duty, I kid you not..

4 months is a Joke ... That time uve been back on REHAB is something that you have to be careful with as RM might want 2 pension you off sick?? If it suits you find out about it. If not GET YA ARSE BACK 2 WORK U LAZY GIT!!! JOKE!!!! :chuckle SORRY! But keep ya chin up .. OUT ...

DONT LET THE BASTARDS GRIND YOU DOWN..... :wave

Hey Dinho 1

Ive just been reading about plight after your stg 3 interview. If I understand your problem correctly you have had your interview but the manager hasn't spoken to you about the outcome. What I can tell you is, as long as you haven't had any further time off since your interview you are well on the way to completing your 12 months on the procedure. If you survived the stg 3 (as you quite clearly have ) then you will have been reverted back to a stage 2 which means that if you have 2 absences or 10 days in any six months period over the next 12 months then a reconsideration will be given to your dismissal - the 12 month period by the way starts from the day of your interview and not when the inconsidererate buggers get off their arses to tell you. Hope this restores your sanity.

Dinho,

Now I'm confused, how come they interviewed you under the attendance procedure when you were off sick? was it an actual RMAP stg 3 or was it a rehab type interview to get you back to work in conjunction with Atos Origin (EHS) ? there is a big difference! :Confused if it is a case of the latter when did you have a stage 2 ? p.s. just to confirm the rules, any stage of the procedure goes from the date of your interview (if it was issued) and not the time of the absence that triggered it. hey let me know kidda.

Screw STILL in job and now gets moved up stairs off of Ops duties and lands a lovely little job earning more than before...
