When on strike in 2005 as part of our office settlement RM said part timers could keep the early shift allowance even though they would start at 06.15, our office settled and then eight months down the line they demanded it all back! In some cases upto £180. After half a dozen grievances from some part timers nothings changed our DUM ignored and binned them? although they admit this was said RM still wont pay. The CWU have had it upstairs with RM for over a year and we still have not got our money! Dont believe a thing RM say on early shift allowances the crooks will steal the food out of your kids mouths to get a few extra bob in the pockets of leighton and co

The Reps should have got it in writing first. We are dealing with the most underhand bas**rds ever to walk the earth and should make them fight for every inch they want to take.

I think the 0500 shift allowance shouls be consolidated into basic pay or you will have people doing the same job on different pay ultimately causing division within the ranks.
