If you don`t have a fixed/rotating day off, then I don`t see how your gaffer can pick a day as your day off that your not due to be in on ........... a day off, on a day off, isn`t a day off.

I work wednesday to saturday and iam having the same problem at my DO. My DOM phoned me up saying that if i dont work one of my days off this week then i will be deducted 5 hours pay and that he says when i work! After changing my days off for 3 weeks in a row, working 2 days extra and coming in 1.5 hours all last week i was told iam not being flexible enough and that my contract wouldnt be renewed.....

If i didnt hate my job and treatment so much i might be concerned! Plus my last contract renewal said that it would probably be my last as they are bringing in P&L anyway so it doesnt even matter.

Makes me sad though iam a gentle natured hard working guy who goes out of his way for the good of the company. But after 7 months of this shite iam tired of being F***ed in ass!

I am very tempted to that! But would guess nothing would really happen as its my word against my lino and DOM. Probably not worth the hassle unless they try and make my life difficult after this incident...

Just a thought here...What have you to lose if theyre not renewing your contract anyway? Throw enough sh*t at the guy and some may stick.

Taking the issue up with the union first so will see what happens with that. Was trying to get him involved today but he had the day off!
