I can't see all MCs running them at xmas, if they have all their iLSMs doing outward plans all night then they might not be able to do the breakdowns into batches

How effective will they be at reading hand written Christmas cards...does anybody know?

If they make it through the iLSMs then they should make it through the CSS machines ok. If they get rejected by the iLSMs then they have to go manual, rejects can't be run through again like they could on the old LSMs. It'll be interesting to see if the CSS machines reject any, how many reject items does a CSS allow before it rejects an entire batch?

Oh right i see,so MC's don't put a plan in for this so it's a free for all.

We have plenty of css machines at our MC,but they have been failing on Sundays,due to lack of trained staff.5 machines were sat idle with plenty of work to go thru them.I,and many other mech staff have moved to manual jobs since a local resign because the management decided to make all mech duties with every other Sunday in(STUFF THAT).I can tell you for nothing,that NO untrained staff touch the css,and certainly no casuals,at least in my neck of the woods.Think Tman is yanking yer chains,ignore it.....

Why the surprise?
The same thing happens every year, and has done for many years.

I was referring back to my own post
and making the point that untrained staff have always run machines (especially at Xmas) and so why should this machine be any different?

Its quite simple really.I know that NO untrained/casuals run machines at my MC,you say you know different,but arent prepared to back up your claims.I would think readers of this thread will make up their own minds,don't you?

Hubba, I'm sure they'll think any way they wish to, but even if I could name names in your place, do you think I would, or that the mods wouldn't delete them immediately?

However, that doesn't change the fact that it has been regularly reported problem at your place, whether you (as a postie) are aware of it or not, and your place is not alone in that either.
