Excuses for not being on a picket line?

My rep has asked me to stay away from our line as my hatred for strike breakers is so intense i may very well picket myself out of a job so to speak..I'm still thinking of going on it tomorrow,just gotta tie my hands behind my back and wear a gag first!! lotta love...

I think the '60%' malarky referred to one sub office in the wilds of wooly where 10 people normally work and 6 people in that office went in!!!!

yea, i be at ours 2mor, never been to it yet, but its going to be part of history and i wanna be a part of it so i want to see the brave u know whats crossing the picket line!

MOst common:

1) It's my day off...AND???????
2) I'm on holiday....AND???? (no excuse, unless you're outta the country and I would want to see flight tickets!!!!!)

One even offered up the excuse that he was cutting his sister's hedge.....WHAT, AT 5.00 IN THE BLOODY MORNING!!!! I don't think so.
A lot of them say " does it matter as long as we don't come to work?" YES OF COURSE IT MATTERS! Otherwise it's the same old faces!

I do get a little annoyed at some who continually miss union meetings and never go on picket.
these are usually the ones who run around or have got it easier than most but are the biggest moaners.

i know they are not going in and i appreciate that fact, but to me they just can't be bothered to support the cause.
Why should the same old faces have to turn up on days off etc?? We are all fighting this!!!

Imagine you our Mr and Mrs Joe Public driving past a picket ( something they have never seen before

) They see outside a large office 6 or 7 posties sat around with a couple of placards. They must say to themselves "where our the rest of them? Probably working

no coz if you work all week and your day off is the day of the strike, you have still worked the 5 days so should get paid for the 5 days
