I tried to get all the morons in our office who use their cars to stop.The majority still do,all you hear is "I'm not making it hard for myself" even the fact I said they would have to put more hours in the office if they stopped doing it hasn't had an effect they still dont listen.IMO its stupid and selfish behaviour.
DON'T DO THE BASTARDS ANY FAVOURS!!!! NO CARS ON DELIVERY!

The thing i don't understand is,we are going through the biggest change in our job for years,and they still do it all.
Come in early,use their cars,race and chase.
It really is suicide.

if you use your car on delivery every day how much does it cost you?
Petrol wear and tear
Wet seats when it rains
brake ins when unattended
wear and tear punctures etc
What do your insurance say?
ask your insurance about the cover RM provide you with?
if insured for buisness use 1 ( the cheapest outside of RM) sometimes £20 more on your insurance this does not cover mails carried for work use!
the cover of replacement car while yours is off the road RM insurance does not cover this!
Recovery of your own personal car following damage or accident whilst in work RM insurance does not cover this!
Injury to yourself while carrying mail does yor insurance cover this under RM?
Now for 30 min's early finish would carry on using your car?
If broken into is your vehicle secure to protect contents of letters packets priorities etc?
I would rather take the van than cause an inconvenience to my family car & family would'nt you?

A TNT driver offered me his letter today to post so i told him to put it in the postbox as i cannot accept mail off the public he called me a F***ing prick i told him to use DSA Down stream arseholes he soon disappeared.

Bullshit all i see is Leighton and Crozier Bullshit

There appears to be a little confusion.

I drive instead of cycle.
I do NOT do deliveries in my car - I'm not insired for it.
I drive from the delivery office to my delivery which is class 2 business insurance - to and from multiple places of work.
I DO take my bags in my car whcih I shouldn't, however I'm happy to read the paper for 15 minutes before setting off of the the driver is.
I can take the cycle in the back of my car if it neccessary.

Basically, I save myself the cycling. I don't know about your office but that is the majority reason for people taking their cars in our office.
A couple of the rural drivers sometimes take their cars if they can avoid driving back to the delivery office (15 miles) only to drive [back] home again immediately after.

It costs me a lot less to use my car than it does in commuting to work.
