Wow London had the highest decrease over the last ten years - well that does surprise me, especially with the excellent representation down there.

Uk Trade Unions go wrong because its from the TOP down rather than the BOTTOM up as well as being a Trade Union rather than just a plain UNION that looks after all Union memberships interests so you have the position where some members interests are best served by doing over other Union members interests! Think about it for a second and as CWU members we have the stupid thing of other CWU members sanctioned because they would not cross a picket line of another office, how bloody wrong is that? You then have another Trade Union doing CWU work in the form of Unite doing CWU members work and crossing their picket line when they are on strike, or scabbing with that Unions nod and wink if you like. (Not calling anyone a scab just the action mods!) I think until we are just a Union that is run from the bottom up and forget the trade bit in Unionism the employer will always beat us because we have at least One arm tied behind our backs.

The One thing we all know is London`s members, our Sisters and Brothers are in for a big shock in the near future and when the London Div Reps ask us to support them again in a few years time as they did last year many will think twice or more, another nail in the coffin of Trade Unionism i think.

The poll cards payments chaos we had recently highlighted the fragmented nature of our union.
some offices according to posts on here were paid .
the rest of the country were not.
We all pay the same subs and should expect more uniform representation or the union is functionaly broken.
To parody/paraphrase the three musketeers "all for some and some for all".
