if that was the case then the general public would have had some post on there doormat on friday

our manager allocated our reserves the friday off so he could cover all the duties thru the week

so if they count staff on sick/leave and days off + strike breakers even then it wouldnt hit 60% surely

3 from 63 in my office. including 1 strikebreaker who is on A/L. DUM's are posting on notice boards an RM release on the average earnings of a postie according to Adam '360,000 bonus' Crozier. He reckons we earn £405 per week. I think he needs a reality check. An average postie who works 50+ hours a week might earn that. Mind you, we have to do these extra hours cos of the s**t basic pay we get.

Well I work nights, no o/t and I take home £306.50 per week, can I work in the office where they earn £405 per week. :cfo :lfo

Its just a load of b***ocks, rep told us today that according to RM only 67% of our office were on strike, in reality no one went in to work at Burslem it was 100% out, but RM count people who are on leave and sick and days off as coming into work, Dumb and Dumber really know how to alter figures, mind you theyve been doing that since they started...UNITY IS STRENGTH.

for the 2nd strike we had 1out of 130 going in because he went in royal mail are saying that our office was operational they are hard up for figures

Totton near Southampton 5 went in out of 65 , good result but the only people gaining out of these one dayers are RM lets do a Friday / Monday next time.

If this strike was faultering in anyway the press would be there to point that out with glee.Just look at the morning papers hardly a word of the strike.
The other reason for not reporting is they dont want to be drawn in on it as they know what we are fighting for is a just cause and if we are defeated on this strike the public will see the final demise of this once great british industry go once and for all.

Royal Mail House ( Delivery Office in the centre of Oxford ). 117 staff .... 2 went in... one non-union member and other who claims that he is deep financial trouble due to demand from his ex.wife.

But no-ones telling the truth are they - after all the CWU says that "no royal mail services operated today" and that the letter delivered to Royal Mail HQ was the "only letter being delivered today" - whether we support the strike or not we all know these aren't true - my wife got delivered an SD item at home last Friday

That 60% figure probably came from a MC i heard about (VERY reliable source) that had NO picket line and a FULL operation last strike ie early ,late and night shift as usual!!! Wasnt my MC btw haha!!!!

100% all out is great. i'ts a pity that not many (if any at all) have stopped using their cars for delivery.

Trouble is a lot of the people who have booked leave or called in sick dont support the strike but arent willing to turn into work
