My union rep thinks that D2D's should be prepped on own time

Our union rep (who's a good bloke) agrees with our manager that you should prep d2d's in your own time. What can I do to convince him otherwise.

Yes although time should be built into the duty now as per the D2D agreement but usually its not.

When we used georoute preparing and delivering 20% of d2d's were included in the duty time. If the new agreement is the same thing (ie doing 20% of them daily) then duty times wont change will they? But now they have mentioned the specific d2d which can be chosen by the company to have them delivered in 1 day then shouldnt all revisions include prep and delivering of 100% d2d's?

Tell him that your own time is exactly that, your own time..not his time not, not CWUs or RMs time but yours and no-one can make you do anything in that time, tell him to get stuffed.

They are both completely wrong. You are entitled to prep 20% of your D2D in your duty time. If they persist in mithering you about this, tell them to stop harrassing you, and take it further !!

Which is all well and good but were does it say that in black and white. I need proof.

Nope this is a misconception or misunderstanding that keeps copping up.

At present before the new deal, D2D are done in work time as per the D2D agreement, various emails and RMs own prepare for delivery document (all on here) but they are not counted in traffic, or taken account of in Pegasus, and in some Units not part of the prep tests (agreed and unagreed).

When or if the new agreement goes through then the change is that they will be recorded in traffic, and revisions, pegasus and any testing HAVE to take them into account.

There is no change in the Policy of doing them during work time (except you can claim, with approval, if D2D take you over your finish time) but there is a change in the various admin processes.

If this is correct, and D2D will be day specific, will geo-route be set at a 100% call rate then
