"Always ring in,at least 30-60mins before your duty finishes if they get stroppy and don't give you a time to ring,or are adamant you will finish.
Do the above even if work has been taken off you,and you still can't finish on time.
If you do not ring in you will get done for willful delay"...........in my office it can take 60mins to get the fat lazy b%$Â£"*ds to answer the phone!!!

Try and get hold of their mobile number, they cant say they did not get message then. Or even get them to get one each from 1st line fix, which is what they did at my DO.

Tried that True Blue, but they conveniently lost it after about a week, we also had an answering machine but that got broke about the same time!!

With one grievence they push it under the carpet. with two they find it hard.. with 10 they have to deal with it and screws from up above get pinged!!!

The give me 30p each time I use it - so far its cost me 10p max

We have a free bus pass

Ours is last letter plus 15 minutes travelling time and any un-taken meal relief.

Sounds like our rep got a good deal.

Totally agree. Play them at their own game, by their own rules. When it goes t*** up, well it's ain't our fault. I don't advocate swinging the lead, but you're right, any pressure to complete delivery early has been removed. We have three and a half hour delivery spans, if a delivery takes longer, let them know! Demand some is taken off, work to our time, take our breaks, it's what they want. Our DOM has also banned anyone from starting early. One hour from a walk on OT is to be spent on IPS (2x half hours), don't know how that is going to work if they are FT they will be doing IPS anyway, not our problem.

There is now no incentive to do any more than we are paid for. I will fulfill the terms of my contract but no more. There is no point, it is not appreciated but expected and that is just wrong.

I can only see good coming from our office agreement the only thing is i think our DOM will realise it and will let it go back to what it was as the only REAL winner of job and finish was RM and they were just too stupid to realise how flexible we have always been but cant be now. The pointers from POSTMAN about cutting off are going to come in very handy me thinks cant wait for a Thursday and Friday. LOL.
