Haha sadly that's entirely true, anything that you would assume to be simple is far too much trouble for the average do management to implement

If you don’t have time to deliver your remaining items, that’s it. Return the items to the office.

Call the manager first and say you have run out of time and will be returning with … tracked and that’s all you have to do. That is the procedure.

Having too few staff to complete the work, is a manager problem, not yours.
