Re: Own Phone Usage
Making an issue with your personal phone and work contact is quite frankly rediculous.
You are not suffering any financial detriment or wear and tear.

Re: Own Phone Usage
The photo was taken off RM premises and not on RM time which is a separate subject if you wish to continue down that line.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑21 Jun 2025, 04:05The point? To highlight just how difficult and hypocritical you’re being. You ostensibly refuse to use your phone for what you deem to be work purposes, yet you are quite content to use that very same own phone to take photos — I presume without permission — of work-related literature such as the USO reform explanatory leaflet etc which you later post on this forum.menditsa wrote: ↑20 Jun 2025, 21:58Yes I did, my HOME number.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑19 Jun 2025, 16:09Some might say it’s ridiculous that you don’t just use your own phone. Did you give your own number as a contact number when applying for the job?
What is the point of your sarcastic comment ?
So again why is it being difficult to not use a personal item of mine for work usage ?
I also have a jet washer should I be expected to use that for RM usage as well ?

Re: Own Phone Usage
No one accused you of taking the photo either on RM premises or in RM's time, they said work related literaturemenditsa wrote: ↑21 Jun 2025, 07:47The photo was taken off RM premises and not on RM time which is a separate subject if you wish to continue down that line.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑21 Jun 2025, 04:05The point? At Bristol Mail Centre some full time duties allow four hours mobile phone use a day. They are £16 an hour opg and £18 an hour acting manager. I would find it too stressful continuously staring at the same text or game of chess for that long though, so don't want to apply.

Re: Own Phone Usage
If you have a van on retention and want to keep it clean and pristine then by all means use your jetwasher. But then again, a jetwasher is not really a personal effect in the same way as a mobile phone, is it? Do you similarly refuse to use your washing machine to launder your work uniform? Do you refuse to provide underwear for RM usage (aka you don’t wear any when at work!)? How about using your own pens and the ink therein to write out P739s? I could go on and on. Where do you draw the line (obviously using an RM-supplied pen)?!menditsa wrote: ↑21 Jun 2025, 07:47The photo was taken off RM premises and not on RM time which is a separate subject if you wish to continue down that line.

Re: Own Phone Usage
I don't have a 'jetwasher' therefore I don't wash the van at home. I also claim back from the govt my uniform washing supplement, go commando under my shorts and only use RM issued stationary. What is your point other than to be abrasive on here?Smoothbackground wrote: ↑19 Jun 2025, 16:09

Re: Own Phone Usage
Please stop multi-qouting everyone. Yes, it's easier for you, but it is terrible to read for everyone else wanting to get to the core of the matter. Also we do ask you to not do so.
The practice of excessive multi-quoting in online discussions, while potentially convenient for the author, significantly degrades the readability and accessibility of the conversation for other participants. While the intention might be to provide comprehensive context, the resulting wall of quoted text obscures the individual points being addressed and impedes the reader's ability to discern the core arguments. Furthermore, many online platforms explicitly discourage this practice. Therefore, adherence to concise and targeted responses, rather than extensive multi-quoting, is essential for fostering clear, efficient, and productive online communication. This approach prioritizes the collective experience and facilitates a more easily navigable and engaging discussion for all involved.

I've only ever seen you advise that on my specific posts TBT. None of the other multi-quote laziness on here everyday.TrueBlueTerrier wrote: ↑21 Jun 2025, 17:47Please stop multi-qouting everyone. Re: Own Phone Usage
Apologies TBT, I thought I had truncated the quote (as I have been trying to do elsewhere). I will edit it so it is in shorter form.

Wrong. It was directed at me — and rightly so.Londonsburning wrote: ↑21 Jun 2025, 18:02I've only ever seen you advise that on my specific posts TBT. None of the other multi-quote laziness on here everyday.

Re: Own Phone Usage
It was the snarky way that person directed that comment at me with no bearing on the current topic and yet that person has twice broken what she preaches on here. I'm not making a issue of it as it's very petty "Rules for thee but not for me"ted_e_bear wrote: ↑21 Jun 2025, 14:10No one accused you of taking the photo either on RM premises or in RM's time, they said work related literaturemenditsa wrote: ↑21 Jun 2025, 07:47The photo was taken off RM premises and not on RM time which is a separate subject if you wish to continue down that line.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑21 Jun 2025, 04:05The point?
