Am I correct in saying that, if there'd been (for example) a 24 hr strike last and/or this week then Xmas bonus WOULDN'T have been affected?

And it's taken 2 days to come up with this momentous decision? FFS they should fall on their swords and resign because they do nothing but bring the membership into disrepute. They seem to forget that they represent us and given the circumstances over the last few weeks is it any wonder that Royal Mail are p*ssing up our backs every where you turn. TBH there should be a clearing out after this but there won't be because it'll be the same arses sat on the seats. Just fortunate they aren't organising the brewery Christmas party

what a f***ing joke so basically another extension a token walkout by area reps keeps the ballot alive.I for one will be cancelling my CWU subscription as off tomorrow if this is correct. Cant the CWU see that we cannot allow RM to get through XMAS without a deal, so they can turn round in January and say they are walking away from the table the ball is in the unions court whilst we can strike during xmas pressure weeks why can they not see that.If i remember right the last strikes we went out and a deal got done so what is the difference now.Wake up and smell the coffee Billy (AKA THICK SCOUSER).

1. What will cancelling your CWU membership achieve? Either you are a trade unionist or you are not.
2. If striking during xmas pressure was such a brilliant tactic, how come we have never done it?
3. What exactly do you think Billy Hayes had to do with this?

Would someone from the executive please be kind enough to tell us all what the sticking point is. This is getting beyond a joke, it's our lively hood that's at stake and our family life's. If you are not careful and leave it to long, the deal that is on the table will be gone, due to Christmas being over and our bargaining hand will be gone. At the end of the day we pay for you to bargain for us.....keeping us informed would be nice as well.

Royal Mail just delaying til after Christmas, then we can strike for months and they won't care. We really do have the most useless union, every dispute is a screw up and just destroys the tiny bit of confidence left we had in the union.

So those reps who are taking industrial action won't get the £300 everyone has been promised from countless and countless propaganda reports?!!!! Anyone fancy ringing Moya and asking when everyone will see it in December's pay? Considering we haven't been told anything different
