Under everybodies frames there are an avalanche of mailsort spewin out across the floor.
Thank feck I'm off on Tuesday
On Friday one of my customers asked about a packet that her sister has been waiting on, and hasn't arrived. Her sister lives in an area your office delivers to, may have mentioned you's had a packet backlog while giving her the customer services No.. :angel

It just gets worse and worse for service up here in Dunfy,39 cut offs on Saturday, pkts not going out, rumour is that our start and fnish times are to be changed to 0615-1415,and take it from me,it is'nt going down very well with the troops, loads of cut offs today, will find out tomorrow how many, damm and blast I got it wrong on my cut off,I was 10 minutes over!!!
No D2D put out today and we are on strike on Sat,so we are going to be hard pressed to deliver the swine flu D2D,on the plus side due to the use of Linkinparks advice to posties 'Cutting off can be an emotive issue both to the individual and management but like all large hairy beasts even the most aggressive manager can be brought to heal with the careful use of cutting off as a tool. :chuckle
im not as knackered as I was on my old delivery,Im cutting off every day and will continue to do so.
The more you know, the worse it gets.

Oh well, the mailsort and parcels/packets are piling up in Dundee West also. Where do they get all these managers from, surely there's not enough work for them? One manager in DDW has taken on a kind of crazed look of late. :nervous
Lets all just keep doing the job as Royal Mail instruct us to do. :Very Happy
Hey Prowler
One of our managers is up there. Any chance you could keep him ? He's no f*cking use to us ...... :chuckle :chuckle

They won't sack you, they can't - even before all this about 8 years ago, I cut off on an almost daily basis, the mail was nowhere near as heavy as it is now - the manager was inflexible and so was I. I used my car to get to my first point of call and many times I had a manager follow me, I was told I was taking the p*ss, I said OK I'll leave my car here and come back on the bus - but I will be catching the bus that gets me here for my finishing time - it was an uneasy time but it worked, they left me alone and I left in. Pity there aren't more people like you prepared to make a point.

Don't think there allowed to do that. anytime you quiery it they get awfull coy :whistle and not just lineos DIMs and DSMs aswell, and very inconsistant in thier answers.

If they are going to start moving saturday finishing times we should just take indeffinent strike action from 13-00 onwards on the saturday, who can't afford to lose 1 hours pay per week?

it's harldy an issue of national importance. TOP SECRET packets not delivered. I don't remmeber signing the official secrets act. suppose i must have done if everyone else has, funny feeling that this isn't what it was designed for anyway.

the quality of management in royal mail must be the poorest in the u.k.they have no backbone or leadership ability. all they do is obey their masters commands. surely they should be a buffer between us and high ranking management. everyone knows, including management, that some of the walks in Dundee West are impossible, but still they will not relent. and so customers service gets worse and the working enviroment gets more nasty.
