Afternoon
Im a new starter of 3 years on a 30 hour contract however just this morning there was new starters just in the door on a 35 hour contract, why would i not of been offered an uplift in my hours like iv been asking for and for the new starts to be put on a 30 hour contract my manager says him amd union rep arent too happy about but theres nothing that can be done, no one seems to have an answer as to why i wasnt offered xtra hours, any1 any idea r can i fight this at all.

You can fight this i had to in my office I was 25 hours and they hired a 30 I got uplifted but it took alot of badgering the manager. If you have a union rep speak to them we didn't at the time

The 35 hour position should have been offered internally before it ever went to recruitment. Your manager should know that. Raise a grievance on the people app if need be.
