Wage slip enquire

On my wage slip I recived this morning it says arrears of basic pay and arrears of sick pay does any one no what they mean please .

On plus column = Back Pay
On Minus Column = You've been sick and paid but for some reason you are not entitled.

Ok so mine has a minus which is a lot is money That was taken out I had 2 weeks of but had a sick note and it was an arranged surgery appointment on my leg my supervisor new this said that was done as long as I have a sick not which is proof . No one said I wouldn't be payed . If I new I wasn't being payed I wouldnt of had the surgery .

How long have you been with Royal Mail if its less than a year then it states in your contract you won't be paid.

However, you may be entitled to SSP but you'll need to check that out, as there is a minimum wage per week which IIRC you must exceed before you can claim.
