Contract 'I haven't got a screw loose' Manager
Hi all, firstly many thanks for all of your feedback and time taken on the damage log regarding Screwfix items - please do keep sending in your examples.
We met with Screwfix last week and the number of examples being submitted is giving substantial pictorial evidence of the challenges we face whilst endeavouring to deliver a high level QofS, all of the points raised by you have been acknowledged and taken away for action where appropriate by Screwfix.
A selection of items have been stopped from entering the Parcelforce network pending improved packaging which may need approval by the concurrence team.
Goods entering into the Screwfix warehouse from suppliers will be subject to extra checks due to packaging changes relating to using less plastic which previously would have provided protection in our network.
An improved process to be implemented regarding stronger bonding of lids to Auto Cartons
Acknowledgement from Screwfix that the larger box (Box4) and what goes inside requires attention.
Screwfix have also acknowledged that the loading of certain trailers has not been to the required standards when leaving their Warehouse, enabling items to fall - creating a Health & Safety risk and also damage to shipments before entering our network - additional measures have been agreed by capturing a photo of the trailer as it is closed down by the shift Manager to ensure all loads are correct.
Hub visits are also being arranged for Warehouse staff to get a clearer understanding of our operation.

RMCtv : Screwfix packaging Depot update.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
