"The people that know best, are the people that do the job day in, day out". Absolutely!
Whether these are just words of appeasement remains to be seen...

RMCtv : REX Commitment : We're listening. Change is coming.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Should have talked to the people that do the job day in, day out in the first place. Would have saved a couple of years trying to polish the turd (REX)

Text from a Workplace video.
Aaron Barnes
Good morning Parcelforce family, I hope everybody's doing well today. I certainly am. I've had a great week come on to the highlight in a moment.
First of all the purpose of this video it's um, it's a rex commitment update it is another interim update though I'm afraid to say, although I'm really pleased with the progress that's been made this week, I had hoped that we'd be able to share something definitive with you all at some point today.
It looks like that's going to be Monday afternoon which is fine I suppose you and I don't mean this flippantly you've waited for two years to be listened to, and so uh, so we can be patient to wait until Monday afternoon.
And um, and it is superb progress that's been made, so watch this space also a little bit more about that in a second......
So in terms of the rex commitment we've got, we've got something to share that we intend to share on Monday afternoon. just got to get a few signatories to what's been agreed, but hopefully, that's just um, just really a matter of timing.
I don't do want to recognise the pace that we've progressed that it's been really quite unprecedented, and I think what that underlines is how committed all the stakeholders, operations, as well as the CMA and the CWU are to listening to and addressing the feedback that you've given, so more to follow on Monday.
It will be very positive I will of course keep you updated if that changes. but please bear with me to apologise.
I wanted more than anybody to get these updates out today, but if we could just be patient until Monday afternoon, then uh, so we can really kick on from there.
Have a great weekend. all thank you all for your work this week it's been absolutely superb.
and I continue to enjoy my time getting to know the parcel force family. thanks, bye.

That's all we need is a tailor looking to fit us all with a new suit who loves the sound of his own camp voice running a company like Parcelforce. Send him out in a van all day then see what pay he thinks he deserves after suffering just one day in the job. What a complete joke.

All these office wallies..telling us that those who do the job day in day out are best placed to know whats best,,,do the job by the book,,,exactly as you want it done,,,and you know what??.. it completly destresses me...if they aint home,,it comes back,,or it doesnt get collected,,,road works?.,traffic holdupos??...no problem,,,no need to work out alternative route,,,bring it back,,,all of it,,
