Hi, need answers, I had a weeks anual leave booked for 23rd November 2020, just noticed today (21/11) that it's been dubbed out on the holidays notice board. I have not been told about any changes. Is it because of vivid and Xmas pressure. Am I still entitled to the week off or should I go in on Monday as usual.
Thanks postie

A few years ago Christmas pressure was changed to include the last week in November to incorporate black Friday/cyber Monday.

Re: Anual leave booked for November 2020
The Christmas pressure block is a local agreement but it should only be for four weeks no matter the dates because the resourcing in your office should be based on a 48 week annual leave plan.
It should definitely have been agreed before the annual leave was set so you should not have been able to book it in the first place.
I would not accept any cancellation of leave at this stage and legally you are entitled to at least the same notice as the length of the annual leave. In this case 1 week.

4. Christmas Pay Supplement
................. The eligibility criteria for the Christmas supplement payment will be the same as
last year, based on the four December weeks (commencing Monday, 23rd November).
