parcel collection from customer's

Can somebody confirm two fourissues, as I asked and got different answers. How many parcel r we allowed to pick up on round. I was told 5 parcels but from 5 house which is 25.Hiw do the customer approach us,do they hav to leave parcels on floor and stay 2m away and not sign our pda. The same procedure as we do when delivering, wot if they in isolation. What size parcels. I understand why RM are doing this but wot a crap idea in the current climate. How did cwu, h&s sign this off

And to add to the posters questions, how are HCT's supposed to carry them, especially at the start of their deliveries?

5 parcel per address up to 5 address a day, a prompt will come up on your pda to tell you where they are on the property, its really simple, hct wont be doing them who ever does the oversize for that route will collect.

You have obviously had no training, to be honest you shouldn't be having to ask these questions on a forum, they are fundamental points that are covered by the training. You need to receive the training before undertaking this new procedure. I think it's a really good idea, it needs to be managed correctly though, that's a different matter!

Question... 5 parcels per address, a maximum of 5 addresses... Is this per walk ? Because if it is per walk, whose going to collect the walkers parcels ? Most likely the driver he is paired up with.. So if that is the case that's a maximum of 50 parcels from ten addresses ! Asked a lino about this...As of yet received no clarification.

They'll have us delivering pizzas and sweeping the road as we go next. There should be a dedicated duty for this for an old boy which could also cover specials. We're already hammered on the front line.

Had our supposed training the other day watched 5/6 videos in succession, absolutely mind blowing, I'd lost interest after the first 30sec., the videos are uninformative and they are trying to cram as much jargon in to 15mins. as they can, its far to rushed and to much to absorb, it badly presented and it will be a disaster from day one, a far better approach would be to show you how to do it with the PDA it but typically RM just bundle there way through these things and we'll carry the can because we've signed the bit of paper that says we've been train on it, absolute BULLS-IT.

Does anyone know if PO counters receive a payment for accepting these return parcels? I mentioned the new collection service to my local PO when I was in last week and the owner didn't look impressed at all.

Next thing is ...when customers order Plants a map and garden Spade will be left out so we know where they need to be planted and have the tool to do it

We were told not to expect the worst you could be collecting just 5 Christmas cards etc, was this passed by the union?
