Reverse lapsing

Our office has failed to implement lapsing on deliveries since the Covid situation came about ,but to get round this the managers have grossly increased the indoor tasks in response . This of course has an impact on our delivery spans leading to the need for O/T to complete duties .No questions asked when you submit a claim for 1-2 hrs O/T as they have lots of absence O/T hours to play with due to the numerous failed daily duties . Has any other Del. offices experienced this turn around of lapsing ?

Indoor lapsing it happens a lot in our office it impacts on departure times which has a knock on effect the thing is OT is all well an good if you want it need it but if you have a life outside work it can impact it and it can ware you down till you mentally or physically are exhausted you must tell them you cannot do it if you do not want to do it or it can be very bad for you good luck.

We do both aswell hours saved indoor and out(all through pandemic 2 everyday)running the place on a shoestring.

Ours " lapsing " has become " resourcing to workload " , you do it first the cull your own walk if you don't want the O/T. Back to " Book it or f**k it " , most people are now going down the f**k it route. Just Tracks and Specials and 1st class going daily , the rest is building up.
