i cant believe the amount of shite the CWU ( the silent union ) are agreeing to , as in collections from houses , redirected parcel deliverys ( inflight ) and yet again non of this is built into our duty time as well as knocking n neighbours , scanning etc and they dont want to pay any excess to complete  , and all this on top of this coronavirus and the increase in pkts / parcels , so why not just stick a brush up our arses and we can sweep the pavement as we walk along and undercut the council workers for another job , while we have so much time on our hands :cuppa

Would you prefer to be made redundant? If we dont offer the customers what they want and keep up with the other courier companies thats what will happen. Remember Royals mails job is to make the customers lives easier not the posties.

past caring to be honest , the only way you can compete with our couriers is separating letters from parcels ( massive job losses ) , just want a fair and manageable workload thats all and not much to ask , is it ? ,

No they don't want to make customers happy. Royal Mail have no plan except planned cuts.
They could introduce lockers at every delivery office in order to do a click and collect, 24hrs a day but don't, why? because they want it to fail.
And that's just one tiny idea that they could invest in but they do f**k all!

Why would a company set out to fail, They want to make money and you dont do that by failing.

A fairly sharp rise in the share price in the last couple of days has sparked off talk amongst the sharks on share dealing boards of a takeover, break up, sell off of GLS, TUPE'd workforce etc

That’s because in most D/o there is no room and the volume of parcels we deal with you would need a large amount of boxes and access to Rm property out of hours.

Oh dear, so much for being “key workers” and all that!

You can guess what’ll happen next. Once the ballot runs out in September they’ll be coming for our jobs and T&Cs again. Remember capitalism is ruthless and always screws the poor in favour of the rich.

The union needs to have all reps walk out for an hour before then to keep it live
