3.5 hour deliveries
the 3.5 hour town delivery is what the union has agreed nationally on health and safe grounds,in lots of threads we are hearing about posties being told they will have in the future through flexability and god knows what ever agreements have to take out extra bits of walks etc.
if everybody works to their 318 and does'nt run round there will be no time for extra deliveries so royal mail's plan to work us into the ground will fail so for goodness sake lets get everybody screwing the head and working to their 318.

i can understand this working to your time and not excepting more than 3.5 hr delivery but aren't we then just making sure our jobs go part time?
or an i missing something? with the sorting etc set to go in the future
and when it happens how are we going to extend our hours to get full time pay without a lot of job losses?
i think were stuffed which ever way you look at it!!

well for a start any1 thats leaves will not be replaced or else replaced with a p-t member. How many years are we looking at before all the sorting is done away with? as far as i know it will only be saving us 15-20 mins or so when new machines get going.stevenshm wrote:i can understand this working to your time and not excepting more than 3.5 hr delivery but aren't we then just making sure our jobs go part time?

3.5 hour delivery
Is the walk sequencing machine going to be any better than the code sorting machine because i cant get a bundle of mail without misorts just now, so how will these machines time on sorting if they are not 100% efficient so that we are not handling missorts

The age of the dickhead came into being, dickheads in parliament, dickheads in business, dickheads galore doing media studies in university then gettingcouncillor wrote:Eeee, when I were a lad, and all this was fields, my teachers told me that automation would mean shorter working days, more time at home, jet packs on my back, etc.
What went wrong?
jobs as Royal Fail managers, dickheads in the judiciary, dickheads on the telly, dickheads driving Chelsea tractors, dickheads buying up houses to let,
dickheads, everywhere, dickheads..............Common sense by and large, started to leave in droves circa 1979.............It's been downhill all the way
since.

Re: 3.5 hour deliveries
They can make e'm 10 hours if they want to it's all pie in the sky. Why? because unless a nationaly agreed change is made it's last letter 2pm end of story and at the moment even god can't touch you if you want to stick to that.mailman71 wrote:the 3.5 hour town delivery is what the union has agreed nationally on health and safe grounds,in lots of threads we are hearing about posties being told they will have in the future through flexability and god knows what ever agreements have to take out extra bits of walks etc.

my walk has gone from full time to part time
The past 6 mts we have had someone in using pegasis to sort out our walks.
First attempt disaster!
Next a phg who has NO KNOWLEDGE of the walks ties up some loose ends.
results losing 6 walks.
my section lost one part time walk, the rest of the five full time walks were supposed to have some of the part time walk added.
now it seems MY WALK IS GOING PART TIME!!!!!
which leaves 4 full time walks and my part time walk on the section
They seem to think 428 drops can be done in 2 hrs and 30 mins.
yes if u are superman!
i have been doing my walk for 15 yrs and it seems i wont be on it after april.
I have told the union rep about it but he just laughs and says u will find a better walk to do!
PREHAPS I AM HAPPY DOING MY WALK!
so pissed off at the moment!
