Many agreements that has allergely been brought in, are being change constantly, its seems mr furher does not want our job to be easy. I would so like to see a lot of people become american and sue for having a bad back due to the amount of pressure that we are undershaunyr wrote:are union rep has told us that we will have to fight to get our early sat starts back as our manager does not want us to have them back.i thought this was part of the aggement that was strangely voted in so how can he go against it or have we just got a s**t rep?

Now I may be wrong but the pay rise we might get in April is dependent on the whole deal being implemented especially flexibility - but does it not therefore include early starts. Could an argument that is he is unwilling to even put it to a vote then you no longer have to go along with the local deals as he has already scuppered your chance of the 1.5% increase.
Worth thinking about.

He probably doesn't want to get up early!
He probably can't be bothered getting up early on a Saturday. RM unfortunately have a history of only following agreements if it is convenient for them, but trying to rigidly enforce them for us regardless of the problems that it may cause for us and the Public.

Its not up to the DOM
If the members want an early start they have to honor it, Christ just cos a DOM says no doesn't mean they get their way.
I feel sick sometimes when I read what reps are saying on this site, for Gods sake have some fight.

Why not implement the 5 O'clock start but let those who want to come in later.
If people wish to change their attendance times they may, after all this is about the family friendly policy, not RM friendly policy.
Chop and change your times as you require/need/want.
The business will never know what time you are coming in, only the latest time you could be there.
give people a window during which they will need to attend on a saturday.. From say 5 to whatever times you currently start mon-fri.

If they royalmail can get it their on saturday then this whole 56 mph bulls*it is blown out of the water it was just a scam anyway to enable student's and young mother's to deliver the mail on the cheep but they royalmail are not getting as many taker's as they thought.Wild Cat wrote:I do not want the 5.00 start as I have just got used to not having to get up in the middle of the night,we are having a ballot in our office which i think will come out in favour of a return to the 5.00 start so it looks like i will have to do it anyway.
