Long Service Awards

Post by Morethan16KG »

Within the next week, I'm due for a Long Service Award (20 Years). I agreed to have the certificate and badge presentation, but what about the choice of a "gift" from the brochure??? Will this brochure come with award or should I have had it before? I'm fed up with no follow up from certain quarters in RM, i'm here asking my colleagues for answers :dance

Usually you see the catalogue first so that you can choose gift for presentation the same time as badge etc

Nicely said my Caledonian Comrade. I'm in my 28th year and have never replied to any letter regarding these 'awards'. The ties, badges, certificates and engraved glasses have all ended up in the landfill and as for the awards dinners, no thanks. I don't want to spend time associating with verminous toe-rags who would drive us all into an early grave.

Yeah, and not to mention the intolerable levels of farting and belching we'd be subjected to at these dinners, resulting in the bitter disappointment that the wives of RM executives cannot comport themselves better. :Very Happy

Hello Adolf! You would 'of thought'? Still struggling with basic English I see. No wonder you hate immigrants. They can all speak English while you can't. By the way, are you still cheering the BNP from your armchair or did you manage to pluck up the courage to fill in a membership form? Probably the former since the latter might involve you having to think without a manager doing it for you.

Why would I be afraid of the world outside Royal Mail? I've worked at several jobs and the world outside Royal Mail is quite similar to the world inside Royal Mail. You still end up working for profiteering parasites and alongside 'managers' who are certainly not there on merit. Just because you vote for a bosses party doesn't mean you have to adopt the phraseology of the bosses you know. Try thinking for yourself for a change. You never know, you might surprise yourself. There's more to life than mooning over photographs of Adolf Hitler.
