A ‘yes’ vote doesn’t mean industrial action will go ahead
We are very disappointed to tell you that following a ballot, the Communications Workers Union, or CWU, has informed us that their members have voted in favour of taking industrial action. No notification of industrial action has been given; it’s business as usual.
We know that this news may be concerning for you. But industrial action is by no means certain. We are committed to further talks as a matter of urgency, to reach agreement with the CWU. In the meantime, it’s business as usual. We are collecting and delivering all your mail and parcels as normal.

In 2013, Royal Mail and the CWU committed to the Agenda for Growth (AFG) – a legally binding agreement. Royal Mail has brought to the CWU’s attention the contractual dispute resolution procedures included in the AFG, which both sides are required to follow once instigated. They escalate to independent external mediation, which we expect will take close to Christmas to be completed, and may be longer. We believe these dispute resolution procedures must be followed. The union cannot take industrial action until they have been completed.

No industrial action is currently planned

We care about every item – every letter and every parcel - that we collect, process and deliver. We know industrial action could cause disruption and we are committed to reaching an agreement to prevent this.

Rest assured, if any action does eventually go ahead, which is by no means certain at this stage, we have contingency plans in place. We’ll do everything we can, to minimise any disruption to you, or your business, whatever the outcome of the negotiations.

Post Office is a separate business from Royal Mail and its employees are not involved in this dispute. It’s business as usual at Royal Mail and Post Office. We are collecting and delivering all your mail and parcels as normal.

Yes perhaps they did care about the letters and parcels you delivered ONCE,yes I did say ONCE! All RM care about now is making money,its not a service anymore and hasnt been for quite a while.Just sheer greed for those at the top and how much money they can make,and how they can screw the poor posties down and make even more for themselves!
