Five things I like about being out on delivery

Trying to have a positive day today,please post your Five things you like about being out on delivery

1 Exercise....if i didn't do a delivery every day i would be a fat git

2 Listening to BBC Five live on the radio all morning, if home all i would hear would be washing machine,missis nagging,kids crying,etc

3 Fresh air (well mixed with traffic fumes) would hate to be stuck in an office all day

4 The people, I know there are some w*****s on every walk but overall i get to meet some v interesting people

5 Sort of working for yourself, I know we are working for the great RM but out on delivery its down to you to deliver & no-one breathing over your shoulder

apart from listening to 5 live (i have a mp3 player) more or less the same list for me. oh and the joy of finishing work when some people in offices and factories are having there first morning break

1. exercise , even though im a bit of a beer belly

2. being my own person when out plodding the streets


3. meeting joe public , and watching all the lovely ladies (especially in the summer )

4.the tranquility of being outdoors everyday so you can let your thoughts wander or plan for the weekend etc and noone to nudge to say "OI stop daydreaming"

5. getting home before the missus and probably everyone else down my street! average between 11.00 am and 11.40 am

1 MY OWN BOSS NO ONE LOOKING OVER MY SHOULDER,I DID GET PATROLLED ONCE THE BOSS WAS REALLY GLAD TO SEE ME AS I DO A RURAL DEL AND HE WAS LOST AND NEEDED MY HELP TO GET BACK,ONLY TIME IT EVER HAPPENED

2FRESH AIR AND EXERCISEGREAT CUSTOMERS WHO ARE FRIENDLY AND LOVE THE EXTRA YARD THAT I DO EVERY DAY TO IMPROVE THEIR SERVICE

3THE GOOD WEATHER THANKS TO MY DEL I HAVE A GREAT WIND TAN,I LOOK LIKE A ZEBRA WHEN IM UNDRESSED

4THE PEACE AND QUIET ONLY DISTURBED BY LOST AND CONFUSED TOM TOM USES

5THE FREE EGGS AND TREATS I GET GIVEN(INCLUDING A LARGE BAG OF VENISON ONCE)

U said you had a walk on Rurals But where Dartmore or Windermere?? Venison and eggs??? Wot u turning in to OUTBACK JACK??

I would of left the screw there to be eaten by the beast of bodmin!!! HAHAHAHAH meeeow!

1. The Lads and Lasses I work with, especially the banter when sorting.
2. The fact that on my walk I am part of a community and get respect even from the teenagers/gangs.

3. The exercise - lost 4 stone in my first year.

4. The hours.

5. On the walk I'm my own boss.
