24hr contract working full time

Post by pensivepostie »

Hi!

I started work at my local DO three years ago, and have been lurking on here for a while. Time to say hello methinks! :wave

Anyway, much like anyone taken on post-privatisation I am on a 24-hour contract. My issue is that for the last just over 2 years I have been working a 46-hour week on "hybrid" delivery/afternoon collection duties.

I've tried bringing this up with just about everyone (office rep, area rep, managers) but nobody seems to want to know. Would like to know if others in a similar position have had any success getting their hours 'made-up' i.e. getting a full time contract?

There's alot about this in threads inside the forum blue shirts please have a read and put in a stage 2 grievance.

Also contact acas after your grievance meeting or if you wait a few weeks with no reply from royal mail they tend to get the ball rolling
