tuesdays heavy workload since later starts

dunno about everyone else but in my delivery office tuesdays aint easy anymore..the workload especially mailsort has increased quite noticably on these later starts...

same in our office makes you wonder where they are going to get their savings from

Seems to me that every day is heavy at the moment with Flats. Holiday brochures, some the size of telephone books, and sometimes three identical to the same household. I now notice MNM Sports seem to be bombarding households with multi catalogues too!

errrrr i would of thought it's summin to do with the backlog!
Tuesdays will be pants for a while then it will level out,as a rule and we've been on 5-45 starts Tuesday should not be any different.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I have it on good authority that the Notts backlog wass cleared last week.

Yet Tuesday was still horrendous here!!

Yeah, it's been bad the last few weeks. Finished at 15:30 yesterday, although I was on a duty I hadn't done before.

Sunday collections have finished now so a lot of the mail that used to hit Monday is now going over to Tuesday. :lfo :cfo

round our way its something to do with the fact a lot of the m/c staff have sunday night/monday as their day off so tuesdays can be a real pain now

spoke to our area H+S rep and he said there was less than 15 people working in our local mail centre 1st thing monday morning

mondays will be the new tuesdays

Had a quiet Tuesday this week but got hammered with allsorts of mail today. Booked an hour extended delivery and Crozier, I worked every freekin minute of it! So :cfo

we get hammered every day at our office just now as well, i'm glad the mail volumes have allegedly fallen or we'd never cope
