deal or no deal

Post by max power »

I think that the union and management came to an agreement to get us back to work just to clear the backlog

??????

why do we have to wait so long to find out OFFICIALY what the deal is ?

something dont smell quite right

:hmmmm :hmmmm :hmmmm

Maybe we should have stayed out until a deal was right for us :d'oh!

its undemocratic to hide the details, its just so members can't place pressure on the PEC! just like the secret negotiations in August, it is a tool the bureaucracy uses to help them knock the square peg of what we want and need into the round hole of what RM bosses, Labour and the British capitalists want us to accept.

You can lobby the PEC, i did this and got an email back and a phone call, so the more they get the better:

• bombard the headquarters, leaders and the PEC with phone calls and emails (see addresses below) demanding they release the information they have on the deal’s content, and that they vote against.

• all postal workers who can, get down to the PEC on Monday 2 pm at Wimbledon and lobby the its members to make sure they vote against

• write to left PEC members Jane Loftus (SWP) and Pete Keenleyside (Labour) to ask them what they are doing to campaign against the deal and for continuation of the strike

Billy Hayes bhayes@cwu.org

If the deal isn't worth it I don't think the support for a resumption of IA would be there at the same levels

absolutely true, that's the danger of the stop-start policy of Billy Hayes and Dave Ward, it demoralises another slice of the membership every time they call off the strikes.
