I have a letter from my DSM quoting that all vacancies (in my office) will be 20hr delivery only so there is no chance of anymore FT jobs :mad

I was offered a full time job (35 hours) a couple of months ago but couldn't take it as I'd moved up north. I ended up moving back again so was kicking myself. :d'oh! There's a couple of 30 and 35 hour positions I've applied for since as well. They all involve some driving as well so maybe that's where the hours come from?

I truly think that as from now there will be no vacancies any more for full time jobs. They will be a thing of the past.

i'm an ag,have been for nearly 8 years, tbh don't want full time.had plenty of chances of full time but never wanted them.theres other a few other ag's above me on the seniority too.now though it seems the only chance of full time hours is if you drive.

believe it or not we were all full time till about 2 years ago, this years alone we have had 3 VR's, 2 pensionable sick(both 40 hours and 40 years old) and 1 full timer quit, we have only had 1 person made up to 40 hrs :mad

no full time positions in our office.been told it doesnt matter who leaves, they would be 'replaced' by part timers regardless of staffing levels.

Part timers

Post by The Ginger Warrior »

I believe there is a bit of legislation that says if you are a part timer, who has bee covering full time duties for two years or more, then you are entitled to full time pay. Check with your union rep as our rep is sorting out the part timers at our office in west yorks with such a problem.
And by the way, i hope this: :lfo and this: :cfo , f***ing hurts, c***s!! :cuppa I'm off for a brew, keep up yer morale lads.

i didnt know that mate.there are no full time contracts in our office either.it pisses me off why should everything be prorata for the part timers when most of us work 40+ but when it comes to holidays and sick were shafted oh and bonuses.
