Season Ticket, Kick off 12:30...

Post by MartinMail »

Just started this job thought I'd splash out on one luxary. Glasgow Rangers Season ticket. Amazing, 25% off. However, the biggest game of the season, so far. Rangers Vs Celtic, 20th October >>K.O 12:30<< Is there any chance I would be able to make it on Saturday, my office to Ibrox about 25 minutes (match day who knows...). If I asked my DOM, very politely etc  Would there be a chance of getting that Saturday off?

Football fans you know how it feels...

If I don't get the Saturday off, I'm gonna sprint through it all that day...

Will you be well enough to work on Saturday with that ear infection you picked up next Thursday?

Or that accident on duty near the end of your shift on Friday.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Yes, that was quite nasty. Poor Martin could have broken his leg when he falls over that carelessly discarded coke can next Friday morning. Good job it was just a badly twisted ankle. Get well soon Martin!

Be careful though mate - you have only just started in the job and will be on probation for 12 months. You don't know when you might need sick leave.
