Lieghton lies (what a surprise)

Post by rebel »

On Sky News a few days ago (whole transcript on Goole "Whaats going on t Royal Mail") When quizzed about the low pay of posties compared to the National average Leighton replied by saying that all postal workers are on £440 a week basic. How can he get away with such blatant lies. Sent details to Dave Ward (CWU) so hopefully action will be taken.

Old news bro...but:

theyve taken a mean average of people that work for Royal Mail to make thing look better than they are.

add up the total wage bill and divide by bodies on payroll...

end result 440 quid

misleading huh?

...and i thought they'd just taken a London posties wage into the equation - because up here we get fuckall like 440 per week.

Neither do we,my basic with London Weighting is £385 ,inner Lon gets bout £20 more or summin like that.
Add us all up then everyone else, then an average, and it aint f***ing £440!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I work my rest day and (reluctantly) deliver D2D. And I live in London. No way do I make £440. Leighton (sorry if its old news) stated that £440 was BASIC!

He said 440 was the average not the basic, it's still complete nonsense tho. My average pay may well be 440 as I do a lot of overtime but why should I NEED to do o/t just to get by when him and Crozier are making millions for trying to grind us into the dust. If my basic pay was higher maybe I would feel more inclined to keep on giving the goodwill like I did before all this crap started.
