Most Part Timers in our office are contracted 0600-1200 five days per week.
We've been told we have to still come in at 0600 and do 45mins IPS. Except for a few walks in our office, the part time jobs are the same as full time walks but the staff do not do IPS.

We've been told to come in 45 mins later and just prep our walks as normal. I don't get paid to do IPS, if we did we would have 40 hour contracts and I'm not doing something i don't get paid for!! If they ask me to go on ips tomorrow they can shove it, they just use and abuse part timers so they can f---k right off as far as i am concerned!!
we're all doomed!!

as long as you just work youre contracted hours you dont need to worry what "extra" tasks the give you. If it means you cant finish your duty just tell them before you go out and then bring it back. Theres no need to get angry about it !rmc wrote:We've been told to come in 45 mins later and just prep our walks as normal. We're starting 1 hr 15mins later, same with F/T, they start 1 hour before us to do 1 hour IPS (Usually they have to do about 1 and a half to 2). We shouldget out at the same time but have an hour less to complete the same sized, or longer delivery. All the walks are roughly equal my bum! P/T's got the worst deliveries in my office. I was 86/100 on the re-pick when they brought in SDD so you can imagine what I was left to choose from. Still, don't care, do my hours, go home. :cfo :lfo

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
