long service awards cancelled
i was invited to our areas long service awards event in october for doing 20 yrs service when i have done 21 now only a year late
and today got a letter telling me its cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances
i wonder if the cancellation has anything to do with the current IA or maybe nobody else wanted to go

I've never been to one of those events yet. Why would I want to drink with vermin who would work us into an early grave? As for their certificates and ties, they've all ended up in the bin. The idea of me and the missus sitting down to dinner with those managerial parasites gives me the shivers. You're better off out of it and heading down to the pub for a pint with decent people.
