''A solution in the Post''
''Does the government care about our daily post?
Business secretary John Hutton and Post office Minister Pat McFadden must roll up their sleeves and solve the long-running Royal mail dispute.
Clearly the management of the publicly-owned service is incapable of running the corporation.
Two 48-hour strikes announced by the CWU in a fresh bout of industroal action illustrates how they've failed to cut a deal. Perhaps the government hopes that by burying its head in the sand the walkouts will somehow miraculously stop. This is a conflict that can be resolved by goodwill on all sides but it takes two to talk. Mr Hutton and Mr Mcfadden should invite Billy Hayes for negotiations. Who benefits from this dispute dragging on for weeks or months to come, letters delivered late to homes and Businesses?
Certainly not the poor customers and taxpayers.''
Great editorial in the Mirror
