1st October Induction Day. 2nd October Start Day.
Got the job.
Part time. 5 days from 7. Sunday off. I was wondering if I choose the other day off?
And will the strikes be on the 7th? If so, I'll be in the union by then.

Your day off will be on a rota, the same as the rest of us. You can't choose your day off unless your sick record is very good and your team has an early kick-off on Saturday.MartinMail wrote:Got the job.

Our DUM has every other Saturday and Monday off, and on the Saturday he 'works', he's home by 09.30.mrlovepantsuk wrote:We were actually asked if we wanted a fixed day off, dont know if anyone took the dom up on his offer.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
